All right, I admit I built the site just to show that I can. I have spent eight years programming in Perl. I am good at programming in Perl, but I find that Perl has become passe. I learned PHP from a book, and now I am taking a course in it. Meanwhile I need to convince the people who hire programmers that I can do the work. Therefore, a web site written in PHP.
The site is called Plaid Hand Print because I was asked what PHP stood for. I came up with "Plaid Hand Print" and "Pretty Hard Programming" and several even less probable phrases. A quick search on Google comes up with "PHP Hypertext Preprocessor" and "Personal Home Page."
The programming part of the site is everything except for this section. I am using a MySql database for the data.
